Oh. Hello.

Hello!

It's me!


Thanks for checking out the blog!

I don't have a real end-game with this, I just want to share fun recipes and pictures of food with the people who read this. Along the way I hope to study up on some interesting flavor profiles and combinations.

Ok. I actually dream of and fully expect this blog to be my vehicle to fame and fortune. First a blog. Then a cookbook! Then an app! Then a cooking show! Then a talk show! Then.... well, anyway. I think I'll start with taking pictures of food that I cook for dinner.


So here goes.

I have a relatively limited cooking space, but limitless sources of inspiration. I am currently living in New Orleans, which is a foodie paradise. By merely stepping out my front door I am greeted by the savory scent of Texas BBQ from the joint across the street. Walking through the Garden District the smells of crawfish boils and outdoor grilling tempt me at every turn. In the French Quarter you can't throw a stone without hitting some confectionary delight, whether it's a praline, boiled peanut or some world famous beignets.

I hope to use the cooking techniques and ideas that I have picked up during my time on this planet and use this vibrant city (and ideally places that I visit) to navigate my way through this culinary adventure. All aboard! Thanks for reading.

  1. I can't wait to see what you come up with! I hope a brand of balsamic vinegar finds you as a potential endorser since it's one of your fave ingredients!
